Effective January 04, 2006 the Grand Island Town Clerk’s office will be open an additional hour (until 6:00 p.m.) each Wednesday through July 1^st.

The hours for the Clerk’s office will be as follows:

January 1 to June 30

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday – 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Closed on all designated Town Holidays

Special Hours will be determined for Tax Collection

July 1 to August 31 – Town Hall Summer Hours

Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

September 1 to December 31 (tentatively)

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The decision to add additional hours was due to residents who contacted me and stated it was difficult to reach our office by 5:00 p.m. to conduct business transactions. I hope that residents will give myself and my staff enough positive or negative feedback so we can decide if this will be a permanent decision to keep evening hours in the fall.
