Hunting Licenses Go on Sale August 18^th

Town Clerk, Patricia A. Frentzel announces that the 2008-2009 Fishing, Hunting, and Trapping Licenses may be purchased beginning August 18, 2008 at 8:30a.m. in the Grand Island Town Hall. New this year is the Jr. Hunting privilege.  This allows 14 and 15 year olds to hunt big game with a mentor starting with the 2008-2009 hunting season.  Additionally, this change allows persons less than 12 years of age to participate in trapping activities with a mentor without having taken trapper education.  At 12 years old, trapper education is required.  Please contact the Town Clerk’s office for more information.
