ATTENTION: TOWN OF GRAND ISLAND RESIDENTS

The Town of Grand Island will be conducting a dog enumeration during the months of June, July and August, 2009.  Under New York State law, it is mandatory that all dogs four months of age or older be licensed.  Additionally, a current rabies vaccine certificate must be provided to license a dog.

            If you have a dog or dogs that are four months of age or older that do not have a valid license, you have until July 3^rd to license your dog or you will be assessed a one time fee of $5.00 per dog fee in addition to the regular licensing fee.

            You may license your dog at the Town Clerk’s office during regular hours:  Monday – Friday from 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m.  You must provide a current rabies vaccine certificate and proof of spaying/neutering if applicable.  The license fee is $7.50 per spayed/neutered dog and $15.50 per unspayed/unneutered dog.  If you license your dog before July 3^rd, you will not be assessed the additional $5.00 fee.  If you have any questions, regarding licensing your dog, please contact the Town Clerk’s office at 773-9600 ext. 600.
