NEW!

Recreation & Parks Mobile Playgrounds!

Based on feedback on our previous playground program, the Recreation Department is debuting a NEW and IMPROVED program to replace the former all-day playground program.

In order to diversify activities and provide more focused supervision, playgrounds this year will be run on a rotating schedule. Recreation attendants will travel in a big, white, Recreation van that is packed with sports equipment, arts and crafts, and all sorts of activities. At each location, the attendants will set up games, activities, and events for children to participate in.

There is no fee for attending, and parents are welcome to attend with their children. As always, children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Each child is advised to bring his or her own water bottle and sneakers in addition to a sense of adventure, thirst for knowledge, and drive for fun!

If the weather turns inclement during playground time, children will be sent home, as in all activities.

Of course, local playground equipment is there for your use between dawn and dusk everyday, but they will only be supervised by recreation attendants according to the following schedule.

As always, your comments and concerns are appreciated. Call the Recreation office at 773-9680 with any questions or concerns.
