Recreation &
Parks Mobile Playgrounds
Based on
feedback on our previous playground program, the Recreation Department
implemented a NEW and IMPROVED program to replace the former all-day playground
program.
In order to
diversify activities and provide more focused supervision, playgrounds this
year will be run on a rotating schedule. Recreation attendants will travel in a
big, white, Recreation van that is packed with sports equipment, arts and
crafts, and all sorts of activities. At each location, the attendants will set
up games, activities, and events for children to participate in.
There is no
fee for attending, and parents are welcome to attend with their children. As
always, a parent or guardian must accompany children under 6 years of age.
Each child is
advised to bring his or her own water bottle and sneakers in addition to a
sense of adventure, thirst for knowledge, and a drive for fun!
If the
weather turns inclement during playground time, children will be sent home.
Recreation
attendants will be at the playgrounds according to the schedule listed
below. Of course, local playground
equipment is there for your use between dawn and dusk everyday.
As always,
your comments and concerns are appreciated. Call the Recreation office at
773-9680 with any questions or concerns.
