TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF GRAND ISLAND

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island will hold a public hearing on Saturday, March 27, 2010, beginning at 9:00 A.M. at Veronica E. Connor Middle School Little Theatre, 1100 Ransom Road, Grand Island, NY 14072 on the following applications filed by Upstate Cellular Network d/b/a Verizon Wireless:

(i)            Site Plan Approval and an Area Variance to construct a 105’ wireless telecommunications facility and related improvements in an M-1 Zoning District, located at 2770 Long Road, Tax Map No. 23.00-1-4 (Verizon Wireless’ “Grand Island 2 Site”);

(ii)          Site Plan Approval and a Tower Permit to construct a 125’ wireless telecommunications facility and related improvements in a R1-A Zoning District, at 1639 West River Parkway, Tax Map No. 50.17-01-3.12 (Verizon Wireless’ “Fix Road Site”); and

(iii)         Site Plan Approval to construct a 125’ wireless telecommunications facility and related improvements in an OS Zoning District, off of Bedell Road, Tax Map No. 24.10-1-6.2 (Verizon Wireless’ “Sandy Beach Site”). 

Comments will be welcome in writing or in person at the time of the public hearing, and comments may be provided to the Town Clerk prior to the public hearing.  At the above time and place all interested citizens will be heard.
