Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island shall hold a public hearing at 8:00 PM on September 2, 2008 at Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York, 14072, for the purposes of considering and possibly adopting a local law amending the Town Code (Chapter 17) by adopting an updated Flood Damage Prevention Law. The purpose of the proposed law is to minimize public and private losses due to flood conditions in specific areas, and qualify for and maintain participation in the National Flood Insurance Program At the same time the Board will hear comments on the proposed new law. Copies of the proposed law are available at the Office of the Town Clerk at the above address. At the time and place above, all members of the public shall be heard.
