NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing

will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island, Erie County, New York on

 

Monday, the 17th of March  2008

 

at 8:00 P.M. in the Town Hall

to consider an application by

For a change of classification under the building zone ordinance for property at

 

Parcel North of Whitehaven Road and West of the Golf Course

Approximately 56.5 acres

All that tract or parcel of land situate in the Town of Grand Island, County of Erie, State of New York, being part of Lots 72 and 73 of the Holland Land Company’s Survey, and being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the point of intersection of the north line of Whitehaven Road (100 feet wide) with the west line of Lot 72; running thence easterly, along the said north line of Whitehaven Road, a distance of 743.48 feet to a point in the north line of Whitehaven Road; said point being the point or place of beginning of the parcel herein described; running thence easterly along the said north line of Whitehaven Road, a distance of 770.77 feet to a point; said point being on the westerly line of lands of the River Oaks Golf Course; running thence northerly, at an interior angle of 89E-21'-16" along the westerly line of said River Oaks Golf Course, a distance of 324.41 feet to  a point; running thence northeasterly at an exterior angle of 162E-54'-02", a distance of 73.24 feet to a point; running thence northeasterly at an exterior angle of 173E-44'-39", a distance of 145.74 feet to a point; running thence northerly, at an interior angle of 156E-38'-41", a distance of 378.07 feet to a point; running thence easterly, at an exterior angle of 90E-00'-00", a distance of 551.75 feet to a point; running thence northeasterly, at an interior angle of 136E-04'-41", a distance of 899.70 feet to a point; running thence, at an interior angle of 90E-00'-00", northwesterly, a distance of 217.83 feet to a point at the intersection of the southerly boundary of premises of WUTV (now or formerly owned by Act Three Broadcasting of Buffalo) and the east line of Lot 72; running thence westerly, at an interior angle of 133E-55'-19', a distance of 2098.68 feet to a point; running thence southerly, at an interior angle of  90E-00'-00", a distance of 1378.04 feet to a point on an easterly line of premises of said WUTV; running thence easterly, at an interior angle of  90E-00'-00", a distance of 200.0 feet to a point; running thence southerly, at an exterior angle of  90E-00'-00", a distance of 317.0 feet to the point or place of beginning; containing 56.53 acres, more or less.
