NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island, Erie County, New York, sealed proposals will be received and considered by the Town Board on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York, for furnishing one (1) 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police car for the Town of Grand Island, to comply with the following specifications: 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

TAX:                            Purchases by the Town of Grand Island are not subject to any sales or federal excise taxes.

 

PRICE:                        Price shall be net, f.o.b. point of delivery indicated in proposal, fully equipped as indicated herein.

 

BID

SPECIFICATIONS:            Specifications can be picked up at the Town Clerk’s Office or at the Town Supervisor’s Office.

 

INFORMATION TO BE FURNISHED WITH BID:

 

Bidder must submit with his bid detailed specifications, circulars, and all other necessary data on the equipment he proposes to furnish. If the equipment offered differs from the provisions contained in this specification, such differences must be explained in detail, and the bid will receive careful consideration if such deviations do not depart from the intent of the specifications, and are in the best interest of the Town of Grand Island Police Department as interpreted by the Town Board. Should any bidder offer equipment not meeting the specifications, and fail to quote departures there from, his bid may be declared invalid.

 

QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS:

 

No bid will be considered unless the firm submitting the bid is the representative of a manufacturer who can meet the following condition:

 

(1)    That it has in operation, and has had for at least twelve (12) months prior to the time of bid opening, a service facility within a fifty (50) mile radius of the Town of Grand Island equipped with spare parts, not assembled, which can be delivered within twenty-four (24) hours.

 

DELIVERY:

 

Bidders shall state the approximate delivery date, 90-120 days maximum from the date of notification of the successful bidder.

 

BIDDERS TAKE NOTICE

 

(1)   All bids must be accompanied by a Dealer’s or Bidder’s Proposal Form, showing exactly how the bidder proposes to comply with our specifications. Bidders must also denote any deviations from the specifications. Any bid that is received without this proposal form will automatically be disqualified.

(2)   All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusive Bidding Certification.
