Notice of Public Hearing

Proposed Town Code Amendment

Local Law Intro #9 of 2007

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Grand Island Town Board will hold a public hearing at 8 p.m. on December 17, 2007 at the Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York to consider and possibly adopt revisions to the Town of Grand Island Zoning Code and the Town of Grand Island Subdivision Regulations.  Such proposed changes would include the addition of various definitions to Section 49-12 of the Town of Grand Island Zoning Code that relate to stormwater management consistent with federal regulations.  The proposed revisions also include the addition of Article XXV, entitled “Stormwater Management.”  Article XXV would provide a minimum performance standard regarding stormwater management and site design so as to better curtail the negative effects (i.e. water-bourne pollution and soil erosion) associated with current land use activities.  Additionally, the proposed changes would amend Chapter 24A, Land Subdivision, of the Code of the Town of Grand Island, by integrating the performance standards of Article XXV specifically related to the development and implementation of the SWPPP and Section 49-121A of the Zoning Code so as to integrate the SWPPP into the site plan approval process. At said time all interested members of the public shall be heard.  Full copies of the proposed Local Law are available for inspection in the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York.

All interested persons may attend at said time and place and be heard thereon.
