Creating a Mining Overlay District
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island will hold a
Public Hearing at the Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand Island, New York, by
the Town Board of the Town of Grand Island,
Erie County, New York on Monday, the 20th
day of August, 2007 at 8:00 pm to consider and possibly act upon an
application by Niagara Falls Campground, LLC, for Site Plan Approval for a
campground, including a pond, and a
rezoning (by adoption of Local Law of 2007 Intro No. 7) of a portion of the
property to create the Mining Overlay District necessary for the construction of
the pond. The site plan covers the
property on Whitehaven Road, Parcel
#36.00-1-1, Grand Island, New York 14072. The portion of the parcel requested for creation of the
Mining Overlay District is as follows:

THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, situate in the Town of Grand Island, County of
Erie, State of New York, being part of Lot 65, and more particularly bounded and
described as follows:
COMMENCING
at a point at the southwest corner of Lot No. 65 on the centerline of Whitehaven
Road; thence easterly along the south line of Lot No. 65 and the centerline of
Whitehaven Road a distance of 172.33 feet; thence northerly, parallel with the
west line of Lot No. 65, a distance of 933 feet, thence easterly, parallel with
the south line of Lot No. 65 a distance of 152.76 feet, thence northerly,
parallel with the west line of Lot No. 65, a distance of 175 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING; thence continuing northerly, along a line parallel with the west
line of Lot No. 65 a distance of 1,025 feet to a point; thence easterly,
parallel with the south line of Lot No. 65 a distance of 825 feet; thence
southerly, parallel with the west line of Lot No. 65, a distance of 1,025 feet;
thence westerly, parallel with the south line of Lot No. 65, a distance of 825
feet to the PLACE OR POINT OF BEGINNING.
