Notice
is hereby given that the pursuant to a Resolution of the Town Board of the Town
of Grand Island, Erie County, New York, sealed Proposals will be received, and
considered by the Town Board on December 19, 2007 10:00 A.M. Local Time at the
Town Hall for furnishing all materials & equipment together with all labor
for the 2007 Drainage Improvement Program, in the Town of Grand Island. The
Project consists of cleaning and regrading approximately 4,000 lineal feet of
ditches in various locations on
The
Proposals will be received in accordance with the Specifications prepared by the
Town Engineering Department all of which are on file with the Town Clerk at her
office in the Town Hall,
Copies
of said Specifications may be obtained for the sum of a $25.00 deposit at the
office of the Town Clerk, Town of Grand Island, 2255 Baseline Road, Grand
Island, New York, 14072, on or after December 7, 2007 between the hours of 9:00
A.M. and 5:00 P.M. The deposit for each set will be refunded upon return
of the contract documents in good condition within
seven (7) days following the opening of bids.

Each
Proposal must be accompanied by cash, or a Certified Check, payable to the Town
of Grand Island, or Bid Bond, having as surety thereon, a surety company
acceptable to the Town Attorney, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of
the amount of the Base Bid, conditioned that, if his proposal is accepted, he
will enter into a Contract for the same, for the faithful performance of the
Contract.
No
Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five days after the date set for the
opening, but may withdraw same at any time prior to the scheduled time for the
opening of Bids.
Each
Bid Proposal must be submitted in the complete bound Specification Booklet Form
with Bid Bond attached, enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Town of
Grand Island. On the outside of the envelope clearly label “2007
Drainage Improvement Program, Job Number D-36” and indicate name, and address
of Bidder. Proposals not meeting the above format will be unacceptable.
